LVMH Unites Leadership for La Samaritaine and Le Bon Marché
LVMH announced it will be implementing a shared governance structure for its Parisian department stores, La Samaritaine and Le Bon Marché, appointing Patrice Wagner to oversee both as president, effective immediately. Catherine Newey will retain her role as managing director of La Samaritaine while also becoming deputy managing director of Le Bon Marché Group. The goal is to strengthen both businesses, leverage their distinct identities, and allow both to evolve side-by-side within the context of their distinct identities. It was also confirmed that La Samaritaine would be removed from the DFS network to broaden its appeal to wider audiences, aside from just Chinese tourists.

Louboutin Unveils First Collection of Sunglasses
Christian Louboutin has launched its first eyewear collection, a collaboration with Marcolin, inspired by the brand's iconic designs like spike studs and red soles. Featuring 9 sunglasses and 4 optical styles, the collection priced from approximately $625 to $875, will be available online, in-store, and at Saks Fifth Avenue.

Louis Vuitton Opens Milan Flagship
Louis Vuitton has opened its newly renovated flagship store in Milan's Palazzo Taverna. Designed by Peter Marino, the store is the first to feature the complete Louis Vuitton Home collection, coinciding with Milan Design Week. Notably, it also marks Louis Vuitton's entry into Italian dining with a Restaurant and a café in partnership with the Michelin-starred Da Vittorio. The store's design incorporates local craftsmanship and materials, drawing inspiration from iconic Milanese architecture. It houses a significant collection of contemporary art and restored Italian furniture, reinforcing Louis Vuitton's identity as a cultural brand with a strong connection to Italy.

Goldman Sachs to Finance Prada’s Versace Acquisition
According to Italian trade publication MF, a banking consortium led by Goldman Sachs has been rumored to have plans to provide Prada with funding in the amount of €2.5 billion to support the acquisition of Versace from Capri Holdings. This includes €1.5 billion allocated towards the acquisition itself and the remaining €1 billion allocated towards investments required to relaunch the Versace brand. Goldman Sachs has not yet commented on the Report.

Aquazzura Enters the Hospitality Space
The well-known luxury footwear brand has joined forces with one of Rocco Forte Hotels’ most famous hotels, the iconic Hotel de Russie in Rome, to launch the first Aquazzura Bar. The bar will open this month until November and will be situated in an open-air space in the hotel’s famed hidden garden. The aesthetic is inspired by the Aquazzura Casa Secret Garden tableware collection reminiscent of the Dolce Vita lifestyle with a touch of Italian Riviera flair.

Burberry Partners with V&A Museum to Revamp Fashion Gallery
British fashion house Burberry has announced a multiyear partnership with London's Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A) to re-imagine the museum's Fashion Gallery. Beginning with the gallery's closure on 4 May 2025, the renovation will culminate in its reopening in 2027 as The Burberry Gallery. This collaboration between the two British institutions aims to enhance the visitor experience through more experiential displays, interactive activities, and digital programming. The renovated gallery will showcase over 500 years of fashion history.

On Holding Appoints New CEO
Swiss shoe brand On Holding AG has consolidated its leadership structure, with Martin Hoffmann becoming the sole Chief Executive Officer effective July 1. Hoffmann, previously served as CFO and then co-CEO starting in 2021 with Marc Maurer. Maurer who is departing after 12 years with the company and will continue to advise the company until March of the following year.

YNAP Chief Executive Steps Aside
Alison Loehnis has announced her departure from the role of interim CEO and president of Yoox Net-a-Porter (YNAP) in June 2025. This transition occurs as YNAP prepares to integrate into Mytheresa's new luxury e-commerce group, LuxExperience. Loehnis, who joined YNAP in 2007 and previously held positions as president of Mr. Porter and The Outnet, has been instrumental in the company's development, including launching its beauty division.

Neiman Marcus and Ralph Lauren are collaborating on the launch of "Patchwork Americana," a limited-edition collection that reimagines Ralph Lauren's signature patchwork designs with elevated materials and a modern aesthetic. Skims Inaugurates First West Coast Flagship
Skims has opened its first-ever West Coast flagship store in Los Angeles, designed by Rafael de Cárdenas, Ltd., embodying the brand's intimate and body-focused aesthetic. The store features signature fixtures, custom mannequins, and the iconic 12-foot sculpture by Vanessa Beecroft, as seen in the NYC flagship. The merchandise includes both men's and women's collections, as well as exclusive drops like the NikeSkims line and LA-exclusive merchandise.
