L’Oréal Collaborates with IBM on Sustainable Beauty with AI
L'Oréal has formed a strategic alliance with IBM to leverage the power of IBM's generative AI technology. This collaboration aims to accelerate the development of high-performing beauty products while minimizing their environmental footprint. Through the development of a bespoke AI foundation model, L'Oréal seeks to optimize its product development process. This involves prioritizing the use of renewable raw materials, reducing energy consumption, and minimizing waste generation. This initiative aligns perfectly with the "L'Oréal for the Future" program, which aims to integrate bio-sourced materials and circular economy principles into many of its product formulations by 2030.

Saks Fifth Avenue Enters India with Reliance Retail
American luxury department store chain Saks Fifth Avenue has entered the Indian market through a franchise agreement with Reliance Retail. Under this partnership, Reliance will operate Saks Fifth Avenue stores in India, a move designed to expand its luxury retail portfolio and cater to the growing demand for luxury goods within the Indian market. In addition, Reliance has launched Maje and Sandro brands with stores in Mumbai.

SKKY Partners Acquires Minority Stake in 111Skin
Private equity firm SKKY Partners, founded by Kim Kardashian and Jay Sammons, has acquired a minority stake in British luxury skincare brand 111Skin. This investment will enable 111Skin to scale its DTC business and further expand its reach in Asia and North America. Dr. Yannis Alexandrides and his wife Eva, the co-founders of the brand named after their clinic on London’s Harley Street, will retain majority ownership of the family business. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Air France Launches AF001 Signature Fragrance
Air France has elevated its customer experience by launching its first signature fragrance AF001, in collaboration with renowned French perfumer Francis Kurkdjian. Inspired by the reflection of sunrise on airplane wings, AF001 blends musky notes with hints of Provençal mimosa, rose, and jasmine. This exclusive fragrance will initially be diffused in Air France lounges at Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport, with plans for global expansions to lounges worldwide. Francis Kurkdjian is the creator of Le Mâle for Jean Paul Gaultier and Baccarat Rouge. He also oversees the fragrance division at Christian Dior.

Cunard Unveil "Harper's Bazaar Wellness at Sea" Program
British Cruise line Cunard has launched "Harper's Bazaar Wellness at Sea," a new 3-day experiential wellness program available across its fleet, including the newly launched Queen Anne, in partnership with Harper Bazaar magazine. This program features personalized spa treatments with Elemis products, plant-based dining by Chef Paul Gayler, and a curated selection of health-centric activities. Moreover, the Queen Anne vessel will host the "Sea Event Voyage" in July 2026, offering themed classes, spa treatments, and expert talks. The "Harper's Bazaar Wellness at Sea" packages cost $629 per guest. Queen Anne is Cunard's first new ship in over a decade and embarked on its maiden voyage on January 18th from Southampton, England to New York.
