Belmond Unveils New Sleeper Carriage with Jean-René (JR)
LVMH hospitality group, Belmond, has introduced a new sleeper carriage, L'Observatoire, to its luxury train, the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express. This Art Deco-inspired carriage features the artwork of French artist JR (Jean-René), blending luxury with immersive storytelling. L'Observatoire offers luxurious accommodations and sleeps two guests. JR also collaborated with French Atelier Philippe Allemand to create unique marquetry decorative pieces for thwe carriage. The L'Observatoire's inaugural journey is scheduled for March 2025, and reservations are now open to the public

Chanel Acquires Prime Location 42 Avenue Montaigne
French luxury giant Chanel has expanded its real estate portfolio by purchasing a building from Italian insurer Generali at 42 Avenue Montaigne, a prestigious location near the Champs-Élysées. This purchase solidifies Chanel's growing real estate portfolio, which is currently valued at $7 billion, allowing it to avoid rising rental costs, and justifies its significant investments in boutique design by creating an exceptional shopping experience. By owning this prime location, Chanel aims to solidify its presence against luxury competitors. Renovation plans for the newly purchased boutique are set to begin in 2029.

TikTok Shop Partners with L'Oreal Paris for UK Super Brand Day
TikTok Shop is partnering with L'Oreal Paris to host the UK's first Super Brand Day. From September 19th to 23rd, Piccadilly Circus will host a series of events featuring ticketed panel discussions, exclusive discounts, product launches, and live shopping experiences. L'Oreal Paris will introduce its Lumi Le Liquid Blush at a discounted price during the event. Other brands participating in the event include Garnier, Maybelline, NYX Professional Makeup, and Essie. L'Oreal Paris' "Le Défilé – Walk Your Worth" fashion show in Paris Fashion Week will be livestreamed into Piccadilly Circus to wrap up the event.

Rolls-Royce Appoints Domagoj Dukec as New Design Director
Luxury automaker Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, a subsidiary of BMW, has appointed Domagoj Dukec as the new Director of Design, effective October 1st, 2024. Dukec succeeds Anders Warming, who is transitioning to a new role at BMW Group, responsible for design topics and BMW Group Designworks. Dukec brings over two decades of experience in senior-level automotive design. He had served as the Head of Design at BMW within the last five years of his tenure. In his new role, Dukec will assume responsibility for all Rolls-Royce design topics which include on-demand Bespoke design.

L Catterton Expands Beauty Portfolio with Vyrao Investment
The British niche perfume brand Vyrao, founded by Yasmin Sewell in 2021, has received a significant investment from L Catterton led by its investment fund Elevate Beauty. Manzanita Capital, the family office of Gap founder Bill Fisher, and Estée Lauder Companies' New Incubation Ventures joined the funding round for Vyrao in 2022. Vyrao's unique positioning, combining luxury and wellness, was key to attracting investment. The brand's fragrances, known as "high vibrational scents," feature infused crystals and are marketed for their mood-boosting qualities. With this new funding, Vyrao aims to expand its brand awareness and strengthen its presence in the global market, particularly in the United States. The brand plans to invest in digital marketing, increase staffing, and enhance training efforts to capitalize on its growth potential.

Hermès Acquires Parisian Flagship Building at Rue de Sèvres
French luxury brand Hermès has purchased the building housing its flagship store on Rue de Sèvres in Paris. The acquisition, valued at nearly €300 million, solidifies Hermès presence in the prestigious seventh arrondissement. Hermès has occupied the 1,300-square-meter store at number 17 Rue de Sèvres since 2010. The space underwent extensive renovations in 2021 to enhance the customer experience.
