L'Oréal Inaugurates Largest R&I Center in New Jersey
L'Oréal Group has inaugurated its new $160 million North America Research and Innovation (R&I) Center in Clark, New Jersey, marking its largest R&I facility outside of France. Construction of the 250,000-square-foot center began in 2022, with full-scale operations starting in February, demonstrating L'Oréal's commitment to the U.S. market and its focus on developing American brands like Maybelline, CeraVe, Redken, and Kiehl's. The facility includes advanced laboratories, a consumer co-creation center, and a mini factory for formulation scaling. With a team of over 600 scientists and researchers, the center will collaborate with academic institutions and startups to drive innovations in sustainability, inclusivity, and personalized Beauty.

Louis Vuitton Debuts La Beauté with Pat McGrath
Louis Vuitton has announced the launch of its inaugural makeup line, La Beauté Louis Vuitton with renowned makeup artist Pat McGrath as Creative Director. Following 4 years of research and development, the launch will feature a comprehensive range of products with an expected 55 shades of lipsticks, 10 lip balms, and 8 eyeshadow palettes. McGrath's extensive experience creating makeup looks for Louis Vuitton's runway shows for years has directly informed the line's development. La Beauté Louis Vuitton will be available in 116 Louis Vuitton stores worldwide and online this Fall.

Printemps Opens Doors to US Shoppers in New York
Following a 3-year development period, the French department store chain Printemps will open its first US store on Wall Street, New York City, on March 21st, with a soft opening on March 6th. The store's design departs from traditional retail, resembling an apartment to foster a gathering space with each section presenting a unique visual, encouraging discovery. The historic "Red Room," featuring an Art Deco design with mosaic walls and onyx details, is a central architectural element. The store will offer 450 brands, with 25% debuting in the US. Sustainability is emphasized with a garment preservation and restoration section. Complementing the retail offerings are a spa and a variety of dining options, including a restaurant, an oyster bar, and a champagne bar.

Britannic Explorer Introduces First UK Spa on Rails
UK skincare brand Wildsmith Skin has pioneered a unique wellness experience by establishing England's inaugural "spa on rails" aboard the Britannic Explorer luxury train. This collaboration aims to provide passengers with treatments inspired by the passing landscapes, transforming rail travel into a restorative journey located within one of its 10 carriages known as the wellness suite. Beyond the onboard spa, guests can engage in curated off-train activities, such as sailing, yoga, hiking, and farm visits, to further enhance their well-being. The Britannic Explorer is set to launch in July 2025, with luxury accommodations starting at £11,000 for a double cabin.

Athletic Shoe Company On Reports Exceptional FY 2024
On Holding, backed by tennis player Roger Federer, has reported significant growth and profitability in Q4 and FY2024. The company beat its own projections across all key metrics with net sales increasing by 29.4% to CHF 2.318 billion for FY 2024, while net income was up 204.5% to CHF 242.3 million. Q4 sales accelerated, with net sales growing by 35.7% to CHF 606.6 million. Q4 net income rose dramatically by 434.6% to CHF 89.5 million, compared to a CHF 26.8 million loss in the prior year's Q4. Regional growth was substantial, with both EMEA and the US growing in excess of 30%, with APAC putting in an exceptional performance, with a net sales increase of 124.6%. Shoe sales increased by 33.6% increase while apparel sales rose by 77.5% and accessories by 80%. Looking ahead to 2025, On Holding anticipates continued high double-digit growth and profitability expansion.

Raffles Hotels & Resorts has expanded its Asian presence with Raffles Sentosa Singapore, the nation's first all-villa resort. Developed by Royal Group and designed by Yabu Pushelberg, the Sentosa Island resort features 62 private villas. Offering an immersive natural experience focused on tranquility, the hilltop villas, surrounded by lush vegetation, range from one-bedroom to a four-bedroom Royal Villa, each with a private pool and terrace. Raffles Sentosa Singapore provides amenities including the Raffles Sentosa Spa, a golf club, beachfront access, and five distinct dining and beverage venues.
